Independence Day

We had an amazing 4th of July.  We started off by going to church then home for fun activities.  The kids decided to get creative and make flags.  They did a great job!! Then we headed outside for water fun!  We filled up the pool and also set out the sprinkler.  The kids then enjoyed yummy popsicles. Then it was finally time to heat up the ole grill!!! James made us amazing burgers and hotdogs!! After dinner, it was time for the big fireworks show and we enjoyed it thoroughly.  We ended up having a great 4th!

Fireworks

We took the boys to pick out fireworks and I think they are going to like them this year.  Last year, they were very afraid of them because they were too loud.  They seemed to be into picking them out this year especially the sparklers. We will see :)  We hope everyone has a great and safe 4th of July!

Matt was very curious as to what everything was!

Both boys LOVED it! They looked at every item!

They loved this little doggie that would do tricks....so cute!

All of the kids are so very excited!!

Zoo

We have had the pleasure of going to the Zoo twice this week with some great friends.  On the first day, we met up with Rae and her crew as well as Diana and Lukas.  It was very hot but it was a great day!  The kids played at the Jungle Gym, ate lunch, played some more and Oh yeah, we saw some animals too!  On the Second day, we met up with Jenny and her crew! We ended up visiting the old farm here at the Zoo.  I had never explored this area of the zoo before and I will say we will definitely come back here next time! The farm area is beautiful and peaceful.  There are horses, goats, chickens, cows and even an old stable.  The kids absolutely LOVED this as I did too! Oh the FUN we have had these two days.  We even saw a bird show both days.  Sydney was even a volunteer and was able to feed a bird.  We really enjoyed ourselves and we can not wait to get together with everyone again!

Nap Time

Today, I was looking for the boys so I could put them down for a nap and this is what I found! They had removed all the toys from the book shelves and crawled in to take a little snooze! I couldn't believe it!! They are too funny....I definitely see bunk beds in their future!

Feeling Blue

Okay, our household has been sick for the past week and I thought we were getting better then the ole strep throat bug had to come and invade our house.  So, the boys are sick again.  They are completely pitiful.  I took Will to the doctor today to confirm strep throat and the doc said that he thought Matt might have a good chance not to get it.  Well he was wrong.  We pulled up to the house and he was burning up with fever.  So the doc called in antibiotics for him as well.  So hopefully we can get them all better soon.  I just hate it when my babies are sick....so sad :(  Here they are "resting" as William says!
