Snowy Afternoon

It snowed a little bit this afternoon!!! Even though it was just a dusting that didn't stop us from enjoying it! We LOVE snow!! There is just something so peaceful about falling snow! We hope we get more of the beautiful white stuff this winter!!!

A Winter Day at the Lake

We decided to have an afternoon out today since its going to be rainy the next couple of days. It has been a while since we've been out to the lake so we decided to go there. William was able to get in a little fishing while Sydney and Matty fed the ducks and birds. Note to self: Don't allow your child to fish where the others are feeding the ducks and birds. Let's just say a certain seagull flew into William's fishing line and then proceeded to get tangled up. I was then left to figure out how to free this poor bird all a while the kids were screaming at me to free him. It was an interesting adventure to say the least. In the end, the bird was free and no one was hurt :) We enjoyed a nice afternoon and we look forward to the spring!

Zoo in the Winter

The boys and I had a play date at the zoo yesterday!! I think this was the first time we had ever gone to the zoo in January! The weather was amazing and there was no way we were staying at home! We all thoroughly enjoyed it and the boys are getting way more into learning about each animal! They loved it and so did I! We even learned that Grandma took Sydney to the zoo that day too but we unfortunately did not run into them. Looks like it was a great day for all to enjoy the zoo!

Winter Days

It has been pretty cold outside lately so we have been indoors for a couple of days now. I received a new camera and lens for my birthday and I have been itching to get outside to play around with them. So today even though it was 36 degrees outside, we bundled up and went out to play. The kids just love it when I bring out my camera :) They usually allow me to take a couple of shots and then they've had enough. So, I then must get creative and not allow them to see me with the camera.....Ha! We ended up having a lot of fun!
