James and I took a vacation to the mountains for a long weekend! We had the best time! We spent some of the time in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We saw a dinner show and walked around a bit but we really spent a lot of our time up in the mountains. We ended up hiking on the Appalachian Trail and we LOVED it! The scenery was just breathtaking! We hiked up to Clingman's Dome which is the highest point on the trail. It was spectacular! We also hiked a bit on other parts of the A.T. We will definitely be going back for more hiking and maybe we will take the kiddos along with us! Thank you to my mom and Tangie for hanging out with the kiddos while we were away! We were greeted by an ever so friendly little squirrel. He was not happy about us walking by his tree. He squealed at us and then proceeded to throw his walnuts at James. It was the funniest thing we ever saw! so cute!

It was very windy and cold up there! It was just beautiful! I would love to someday hike/camp a portion of the trail! I can definitely see all of us doing that someday!
