Backyard Exploration

This morning, the kids were outside doing a little backyard exploration. Sydney stumbled upon something really neat......a momma turtle laying her eggs. This is the second turtle to do this over the past week. We already have snapping turtle eggs not far from these box turtle eggs. This is so neat! The kids loved watching the turtle.....I loved it too! We have so many neat little creatures living in our backyard. We love it!

Lazy, Hazy, Crazy Days of Summer

It has been rather warm here so the ole sprinkler got to make yet another appearance. I think it will be appearing quite often for the duration of the summer unless daddy caves and gets us a pool. When I say pool, I mean a blow up one of course. We will have to wait a bit longer for the "Real" pool. Today, we added yummy popsicles to all the water fun! The kids loved it and so did I. Oh the joys of summer.

I had to throw this pic in here. I wouldn't normal put naked pics of my kids up but I thought this was too funny not too! I was busy helping Sydney and when I came around the corner to help Will this is the site I saw. I guess he got tired of wearing his suit.....I am not sure. Boys will be Boys!

Our Vacation

Washington D.C.

Well, James and I decided to take a trip to our nation's capital. We stayed 4 days and 5 nights. We had an incredible time together. We stayed in Old Town Alexandria. There was so much history there and if anyone knows us, we LOVE our nation's history. The streets in Alexandria we lined with cobble stone drives and two hundred year old buildings. We enjoyed our stay at a very old hotel. We loved seeing the sites of historic memorials and monuments, the Smithsonian, the White House and many many more. We feel very blessed and fortunate to be able to make this trip and we can not wait until we can bring the kids back with us. Thank you so much to Mimme and Grandma Tangie for loving on our babies while we were away!
